Hi we recently moved to Lincolnshire, our daughter is 7 and we have been Home Educating her for a year, I would really like to meet some other families nearby or join any HE group thats running as I dont drive and the nearest one to me I believe is in Lincoln (I am in Spilsby),

Thankyou in advance for any replies,

Sorry I'm not from your area, but you could try this email list: groups.yahoo.com/group/home_ed_lincs/ or get in touch with the Lincoln group and see whether they can put you in touch with someone who lives closer to you. I think it often does take a bit of networking to find what's going on near you, but many HE families are well connected and travel around a fair bit to various activities, so usually someone knows someone who's in the right area!

Even if there is nobody right on your doorstep, you could always invite other families to your home or to a local pool/park etc. Some people quite like going new places and meeting new people, and may be happy to travel to you.

Hope you settle in well in your new home!

Hi Shell1234 I have just read your message and am also in Lincolnshire and thinking about home educating 8 year old daughter. How have you found it?
