So have received a (long) list from DS's school. Where certain items have specified the item to have the "logo" then i'll order that from the official stockist, but stuff like shirts, trousers, and socks from M&S or similar - is M&S ok or do you prefer BHS, Next, Asda, etc?

Could you give me an idea of what they realisticallly get through pls?

I'm thinking 5 shirts, 2 pairs of trousers, 5 pairs of socks, 2 jumpers and one of everything else?

Or have i got it completely wrong? Thanks for any advice/tips.

maybe that has been my problem with DD and M&S, as she is also long and thin.

Its the length in the shirts/dresses that has always been the issue and I have bought less from them as a result of this.

ds is going into P3 next year. In P1 bought BHS trousers and they lasted all year and wore well.

In P2 bought M&S grey trousers and within weeks they were white at the knees, lots of complaints about this on their web site reviews and they put a statement on saying that they had resolved the problem, I bought again at Easter and again they were white within 3 weeks. Think part of the problem is ds is now very into football and slide tackling over the gym hall at afterschool, but a couple other mums at school had the same problem with M&S grey trousers.

This year have opted for mixture of Next and BHS and will see if its the trousers or ds.

Had M&S poloshirts every year (always buy at least one size up) and had embroidered with logo and they are fab. Wash better than school logo'd poly/cotton mix and barring any whiteboard marker accidents last for the full year.
