Y6 SATS 100%

I'm guessing this is unusual? Anybody heard of a child achieving 100% in Maths and English on the Y6 SATS?

I know a child in my daughter's year achieved 100% in maths as it was mentioned in their leaves assembly (2 years ago). I would imagine English is harder? Maths is more definite right or wrong.

My Sons friend got 100% in both maths papers! Agree its probably harder for English!

Lots get 100% for maths - not sure about English.

Yeah that's what I thought, but a friend of my ds has apparently got 100% in both! Clever boy!

100 % for maths is clearly possible (and the Sats papers are not really hard or long)
DD2 has got 100%on a Y4 reading paper, so I guess that's possible at Y6. ( if you include all the points on the marking scheme in your answer).
as a non teacher the marking scheme for the writing tests is totally impenetrable, I've no idea if it is
Possible to get full marks.

DD2 got 100% on both Maths papers and has a place to do Maths at university in the autumn (she is 18 now though not 11!)

thanks spanieleyes dyslexic DD1 got a scribe at the last minute and we thought some dictation practice was called for, but I was at a total loss to give her a Mark. Mind you given the Heads complaints this year about English results we seem to be in good company.

3 got 100% in maths at DS's school this year. Highest he's heard of for English is 94%.

I got 100% for my science SAT when I was at school...all downhill from there...

I've marked English SATs for a few years.
This year, I think I gave only one child full marks in writing, and none of them managed full marks for the reading (lots with just 1 or 2 errors). That's out of 350 children. So yes, pretty unusual to get 100% in English.
