Seeking advice re Manchester schools

I have a friend who is making a hurried move from London to Greater Manchester due to a work transfer.

She has two boys, aged five and six, and will ideally live in or around Altrincham or Hale. Can anyone recommend any grade one primary schools in those areas? Unfortunately, neither of us has any local knowledge at all, so any information would be helpful (not to mention appreciated!). TIA.

It is not the capability of the school that will be the issue it will be the fact that most will be full and because they are limited t0 30 pupils in a class with one school teacher, no pupils wil be admitted to the school under the infant class size regulations.
Both Trafford and Hale are in Trafford LA and I suggest that you speak to their admission office for help and advice as to schools that might have places for a 5 and 6 year old.

There are many excellent schools in Trafford. She will need to go where there are places.
