Yr 6 SATS Percentages

I have received the grades my Son obtained for his YR6 SATS e.g. Level 5 and Level 4, but some schools seem to be giving out the actual percentage mark, do the school have to give this to us or is it down to the schools policy?
I know there is a big margin in the level 4 and it would be interesting to see what he got.

It is down to school policy, schools have to provide the SATs level-ie the whole number level. Many schools break this down into sub-levels for you ( the a,b,c's) but they don't have to at all and very few I know give out the actual marks ( although I tell the children the mark they achieve even though only the sub level goes on the report)

Ours doesn't give them. We got the sats results on Monday just as levels, no sub levels.
