Algebra workbooks

DS1 is coming to the end of Y4. A couple of weeks ago he said he'd like an algebra book. He's got his report today and one of his targets from the teacher is that he "might want to look at a bit of algebra over the summer!"

This would of course be when I can prise him away from his DS/the computer.

I've had a quick look online but wondered if anyone has any recommendations.

If you google 'algebra worksheets' hundreds of results come up.

I'd just print off some you like the look of......

What kind of maths level is he at?

Thanks IndigoBell - I'll get some run off. Eventually.

sarahfreck - he's 4a on the SATs levels.

So, one book I'd recommend is "get ready for secondary school - Maths" by Bond - I know he isn't going to secondary school yet but the maths might be at the right level and has several chapters of algebra-y stuff as well as other maths. It's not a big book so not too daunting to do over summer.

Thanks sarahfreck. I'll look that up for him.
