Tedious reception report question, sorry.

Got DD's reception report, it's taken me ages to decode why they have written some of the stuff but I see it is part of the EYFS points thingy. It's written in the same phrases.
She's level 8 or 9 in everything which I assume is pretty decent. But should I be thinking about levels?
I read people talking about levels 1/2/3 a/b/c - does this only come in from year 1? Is there a website that explains what all the levels mean, in simple words?!

Thanks, and sorry to be so boring.

Yes; those are National Curriculum levels which begin used in Y1 when children have completed the foundation stage profile. The levels can be split into sublevels which are used to track pupil progress. They start at c and go up to a, eg

1c, 1b, 1a, 2c, 2b, 2a etc

2b is the level nationally expected at the end of KS1.

I hope that helps!

Thanks. So when they finish level 9 of EYFS they move on to 1C, or perhaps they all just start Y1 at 1C?
I don't know why I find this all so complicated, perhaps I need a trip back to primary school!
