DS is in year 2 7 in August he got 3 in maths, 3 in science, 2a in reading and 2b in writing etc. Are they OK

Did the school not give you any info or explanation?
Level 3 is something around 15 to 20% of children nationally achieve so is great.
2a is good and his 2b is average.

To be honest been very busy and he is very good at loosing notes etc A+ for loosing things !!!

Basically - 2b is 'national average' at the end of year 2 and 4b is the 'national average' at the end of year 6. A child who gets a 3 in year 2 is on course (tho obviously not guaranteed) to get a level 5 at year 6.
