Black Firs has an open plan classroom organisation with the year groups being combined years 3/4 and 5/6 to form very big classes which are then subdivided on ability and need between two teachers and TAs. There are 40 in a year group.
Personally I do not like the way it is organised but it is a very popular school and you cannot argue with the results which are excellent.
Don't know much about other schools in the area but places can be quite tight, so you need to start asking as soon as you know where you will be living.
