I am hoping to move to TW by the summer. I've just heard Claremont might take a bulge reception class this year. can anyone confirm? Thanks so much.

Are you aware catchment for Clairemont was about 200yards? T/wells is overflowing and there just arent enought places at primary level. This link will help www.kentadvice.co.uk/peters-blog/item/260-pressure-on-primary-places-in-west-and-north-west-kent

And this for how far you need to live from any decent schools shareweb.kent.gov.uk/Documents/education-and-learning/school-education/finding%20the%20right%20school/Admissions/adm-prim-sevenoakstunwells-11.pdf

yes they are taking a bulge class this year. but it is full with a massive waiting list so assuming you need your child to start reception this sept I would not think you would be able to get a place. as someone else has said school places in t w are very oversubscribed.

Thank you. I'll study that link carefully. I did ring Kent Admissions and they were less than helpful. Thank God for Mumsnet! Grin

depending on how close you move to Claremont, you could get very close to the top of the waiting list, is it that area you are planning on moving to?

As soon as you have an address and an official moving in date you can use it as your address to get a place at a school btw, good luck
