Primary school - West London - Help for choosing

I'm a Brazilian mother living in London for just 5 months. My kids are attending an International School, but we are applying for a state school. There seems to have place for the youngest on in Flora Garden and both of them Mecombe (Receptions and Year 3). Does anybody have kids attending these schools? What do you think about the schools? Can you help us making a choice? Thank you

Both schools seem fine (we used to live very near Melcombe). They get good Ofsteds and results; they are both also very used to children who may be new to the UK and don't speak English as a first language (don't know if this applies to your children). They have a very mixed intake (e.g in terms of ethnic and social backgrounds) very reflective of the area they are in to be honest. Can you go visit them to get a feel for the environment?

PS - personally I think having them in the same school will be easier, but that's up to you!

I have 2 friends and one acquaintance with children at Flora Gardens- all are very happy with it. Don't know anything about Melcombe.

Thank you all for your messages. I'm going to see the schools and also I am
trying to get a place for my older son in Flora Gardens. That's just because we live very close to the school.
