Do you need to register your child to take the 11+? The school have barely talked about it or begun work for it - is this usual? I'm assuming they need to know what children are going to take it - but so far I have not been asked anything!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

you do in Kent... where are you?

Ingles2 · 10/05/2011 22:04

oh and the school don't do any work towards it if it's a state school

annaje · 10/05/2011 22:06

I'd recommend getting practise papers from WHS, because as Ingles2 says, state schools are not allowed to help!

Ingles2 · 11/05/2011 21:41

no Annaje, the school don't have to tell you anything about the 11+, it's up to you to apply / tutor etc.
Have you started practice papers yet? I don't know whereabouts in Kent you are, but you will need to get working on quick smart. It's highly competitive particularly in West Kent.

You will need to do your own research directly with the schools you are interested it....I would recommend compiling a table or a database so you have all the information at your fingertips.....it can be confusing. Good luck!
