Hello,

Could you please let me have reviews for chiswick and bedford park, orchard house, Bute house and falcon's for girls for 4+ and what are the catchment areas for them, i.e. if one is required to live next door to the school?

Also, when is the best time to register for admissions?

They are all private schools, so there is no catchment for any of them. You visit and if you like them, you pay your deposits for a place on the wating list. If it's very over subscribed, you may wave goodbye to your deposit and never get a place.

Bute House has a lottery system at 4. You pay a deposit along with several hundred other people and then they pull names out of a hat for the few places available (after siblings have already been offered.) Four yrs ago when we applied we were applicant no 278 and there were, I believe 16 places available to the general unwashed.

You should register for C&B Park before you've even conceived your child, Orchard House before your DC's 1st birthday and Falcons girls anytime you like, as there is a lot of spare capacity there. BTW, it is moving to join Falcons Boys in Richmond Upon Thames from Sept 11, though there will be a bus service from Chiswick to ferry girls across.
