Multiple appeals?

Yet another question! Would it weaken your position if you appealed to more than one school? Will the same panel members be involved and will that sway their view?
We didn't get any of our preferences, and we will be appealing to our nearest community school. We have also changed our preferences on the application form and included a school now that we previously thought we would have no possibility of getting into based on distance, but it is a faith school and we do now attend the church. All of the schools here are oversubscribed so we didn't think it would be a feasible option when there are much nearer schools.We have since found out that they have admitted children from some distance away, so actually may have been within a chance.
Do we appeal to both, the nearest, or the faith school?

Hiya, I'm in a bit of a different situation from yourself, but I am appealing for 2 schools. I only put down one school on my form (yes i know it was stupid of me) and we didnt get it, so i am appealing for that one. The other school I am appealing for is my other DS school, I didnt put it down on my form but I phoned the LEA and they have accepted us as a late application for that school so therefore I can appeal. No real advice really, didnt want to read and run...good luck.

It makes absolutely no difference how many appeals you lodge. Each appeal must be considered in isolation. Even if some of the same people crop up on the panels they can't hold the fact you have appealed for other schools against you.
