Find out on 26th of this month which school my DD is in......very excited also nervous as we really would like her placed in one of the local schools.
Anyway I applied online (last Sept) and cannot for the life of me remember any passwords or bloody usernames. If I re-register will it still allow me to find out or are passwords connected to childrens details specifically?

I know we find out in writing but obviously if I can find out on same day online at 8am I would very much like to.

Fingers crossed that one of you MNers knows :) :) :)

Can you not click - forgotten your password and they will send you it - typically it will ask for your email address.

cantpooinpeace · 15/04/2011 17:02

No.......can only do that for the password but must know the username for them to send you new password and don't know that either! I rely on those
password resets. The amount of passwords I have in my life is getting beyond on a joke!

Can you go through your old e-mails. Here I got sent a confirmation e-mail that gave me my username and password.

Sometimes the user name is your email address.

We keep an address book and write all the passwords in it. Kind of in code though. It seems to work e.g. Mumsnet would be under M

Found password but not username, arrrrgh bloody passwords. Mad at myself for not making mental note to write it down. I must have thought i could remember it as I know I've logged in since applying.

I guess as I've not used it recently it's probably lost deep down in the password section of my brain never to be found again.

Will have to just wait for letter in post and try to ignore all the primary school placement hype at pre school! :(

Annoyed

Thought they officially had to write to you through the post, telling you which school you got?

vintageteacups · 16/04/2011 23:49

Ah just read your OP properly.

I'd prob just wait.

I use old numberplates as passwords
that way I can write "Lloyds password = VAN" in the front of my diary without a worry

Talk that's far too complicated for my simple brain, cheers though x
