school place notification, Too long to wait?

In september i put applications in for YR AND Y3. Still have to wait until 28th April!

Its driving me mad, i am slightly out of catchment for my childrens school. so i need to know if we have to go through the appeals process,

When i applied for my son to go into YR we all knew by january. why is it so late now! i know its only a couple of weeks now but i think that its just making me feel more anxious!

It's 29th April for us, so again really late. Was March for my older daughter 2 years ago, and Feb for last year. Hoping we'll be OK as DD2's a sibling. Good luck.

amidaiwish - I know the process, just dont quite understand why there is such a dramatic change in the timescales. most parents are being driven mad by it round here.

I think that DS will be fine, he is in a year group of 78 and the juniors have a capacity of 90. Im hoping DD will be ok as she also has a sibling in the school, but if its over subscribed then we could be in trouble.
