Hi I am new to this so please excuse me for being naive.

How do you know the number of applicants vs places. Does that information come back with your decision from the Council. I don,t hear until next week.

It's usually reported on the council website under education on the day the places are notified. You can see previous years there too sometimes to give you an idea of your chances.

In our LEA, the primary admissions booklets had number of applications, numbers admitted under each criteria and the distance of the last distance offer made. We received a letter with the offer giving the figures for this year.
