Dd likes to sing and dance. As i never had music lessoons, i have no idea what is typical children's playfulness and what could be regarded as musical ability. Any ideas ?

I'm not very musical but my Yr2 DS1 has been keen to learn an instrument since reception. He recently started group piano lessons which seem a good option. There are four in the class. Some more musical children started lessons earlier, mostly piano, violin, singing, choir or guitar.
