victorian day costume

how can i get a costume for The Victorian Day,in bahrain? i need it for my DD6 can anyone help?

Online? or my top tip is to find a parent with a child in the year above (i.e. who did Victorian day last year) and ask to borrow the costume they used. Failing that you could get a black dress and an apron?

Lots of cheapo ones online and from ebay - mostly made from polyester but they do the job. Agree that a long skirt with a white apron and blouse works well

pinafore dress and apron? black tights and black shoes or boots may be a little hot. long sleeved white/cream blouse underneath

use a white pillow case and alter into an apron and put over a dress of any colour.

Put her hair back with scarf/in a bun and find a shawl and tie at the chest having folded into a triangle.

Underneath wear a blouse

We ordered ours on line as we didn't want to pay £24 just for a waistcoat when the whole outfit was £14.
