My paperwork says we will be told today - has anyone heard anything?

I elected to hear via email, but so far have nothing in my inbox (although my email never came for the nursery place either, so not sure)..... Maybe it will be by the end of today.

Does anyone know please?

TIA

Thanks all for the advice. All my friends have got the same first choice - one who is only a couple of streets away. So we may be in with a chance.

Glad you got your first choice, Northernlurker, and everyone else who has.

Good luck to the others still waiting!

Have logged on again to the form I filled in on-line and it says the offer will be communicated to us on 15th April - so I have a bit of time to wait!! (even though the print-out I took says by March 31st). Ho hum.

Good luck to everyone else - not sure why we have to wait so long!!

first choice here too :o :o :o

TheOldestCat · 01/04/2011 13:08

Good news, Stealth! Congrats.

Meglet · 01/04/2011 13:12

We don't find out until the 28th April down in Hampshire. I am shitting myself about it. My first choice is undersubscribed (but out of catchment) and only rated as 'Good' but the other two are worse.

Jojay · 01/04/2011 13:22

We don't find out until 18th April either!

Northernlurker · 01/04/2011 17:09

Great news SPB - well done Smile

mumoverseas · 04/04/2011 13:16

We got an email on the 1st April and were lucky enough to get our first choice.

Good luck for those still waiting to hear

rickymummy · 04/04/2011 13:43

we hear today. been checking my email all morning, but no sign yet.

angeljd · 05/04/2011 11:16

Got email from Enfield council last night and we didnt get any of the 6 church schools we applied for. We got allocated a non-church school nearby but Ofsted report rates it as Level 3

wheresthepimms · 05/04/2011 11:41

I just thought we don't find out until April 29th here in Cheshire, but as this is now a bank holiday will we find out then or earlier, or later Confused

tattycoram · 05/04/2011 11:46

We got second choice which we're happy with but I am stagggered we didn't get first choice. We are about 200 yards away. Also London. It is a church school with about half the places going to non believers like us

rickymummy · 05/04/2011 13:47

tatty - maybe it was full of siblings. Rumours at my Ds's school, were that there were at least 22 siblings, out of a class of 30.

tattycoram · 05/04/2011 20:49

22! wow. It is possible, it's single form entry

Knackeredmother · 05/04/2011 20:55

Okay, I sound like a terrible parent but what should I be doing with regards schools?
My daughter is nearly 4 and we live in a lovely village with a lovely school. I just assumed my daughter would just go there when she is 5?
Obviously very naive of me but am I supposed to put her name on a waiting list/apply?? When??
Thanks for any advice!

Knackeredmother · 05/04/2011 20:56

Just realised I should probably start a new thread with this, sorry will do it now!!!

crazymum53 · 06/04/2011 10:29

angeljd OFSTED level 3 is satisfactory overall and many schools in this category are actually very good, caring schools - which cater for all the needs of children other than just SATs results. My dds school is level 3 overall but the only reason it is not level 2 is because of very low attendance by a small no. of pupils.

wickedfairy · 15/04/2011 09:40

Woo Hoo! DS got a place at our first choice primary - I am delighted! Email came in some time early this morning. Really pleased!

Best of luck to everyone else who is still waiting to find out!

first choice here Smile
we were pretty lucky - it's a low sibling year. with last year's sibling numbers we would have been right on the cusp, and with the year before's nowhere near.

good luck to those still waiting.

Pinkjenny · 15/04/2011 14:24

We don't find out until 26th April!
