SATA Opting out?

My DS school has opted out of SATS, ? has anybody elses and what difference does it make anyway?

The head can/will be sacked if it is a state maintained school but otherwise no difference whatsoever.

yes I have just checked ''the guardian'' results table and the squiggle next to my sons school means

''did not take part in this years sats''

head is still there and as in fact won awards this year and last for his achievements.

The Unions boycotted last years tests so heads who decided to boycott were taking "industrial action" however this year heads must administer the tests as it is a legal responsibility for them to do so.

Ah I see thanks for that, I am not bothered one way or the other really.

My son is year 4 at the mo so two years to go and he is bright so no worries.
