Primary Schools in Dorset

I am hoping to get a little advice from Mumsnetters in Dorset please!

We are thinking of moving to Dorest and we have few things to consider when deciding where to live. We need to be within approximately a 10 mile radius of Shaftesbury with good access to London on the train. I have been looking at Gillingham but have no idea what the area/towns are like.

I would welcome comments from posters on towns/villages and the primary schools in this area, my preference is for a larger primary school.

Many thanks!
