My son and all school entrants were assessed in a home visit last summer. I've just seen the paper she used at parents evening and on it she'd written 'white'. His friend was assessed as 'multi coloured purple'. Any idea what this means? Just curious! Assessment was cutting and numbers and sounds, colours etc.

unusual! obviously the teacher's own system as it isn't normal to assess a child during a home visit.

That is awful practice. A home visit is to find out about the unique nature of the child and they enjoy. There is no need to assess cutting, colours etc- it's not part of the eyfs

Maybe white group/table, purple group/table?
Odd though. We didn't even have home visits.
