DS is in Year 3 and has brought home a Collins Big Cat ruby level reading book. Just wondered what the equivelant to ruby level is on ORT, and at what level do they generally become "free readers"?

free readers is something for schools to decide we don't have free readers at all

Thanks. Makes you worry when friends with children at other schools have children who are free readers and you are still on reading levels, but reassured now!
