Hello,

Has anyone got any tips on getting a summer born DS to concentrate? Games or the like?Mine has a wild imagination and goes off to neverland sometimes mid-instruction/conversation!

Thanks!

How old is your son and has he had his hearing tested?

He is 5. Not had his hearing tested recently, though never had an issue with it. He does concentrate really well if he enjoys the subject e.g. Building Lego following instructions.

At least nothing obvious to us yet!

we had a hearing test for ds when he was nearly 6 (june baby) as he had difficulty following instructions first time round and general concentration.

the result from the test showed that he had incredibly acute hearing and so if he was in class he would hear a bus outside, someone talking in the corridor and all the other noise and be unable to tune it out...something he would have to learn himself.

he always has ants in his pants and can be quite unfocused.....not cracked it yet and he will be 7 this summer!

so no advice sorry but keep up with the lego as he is following visual instructions which is good for problem solving i think...expensive though
