we have a "new school" opening up here this september, a montessori style thing, small classes, lots of outdoors stuff

i applied for ds1 thinking he wouldn't get in, but he has been offered a place!

i would like to know more about them though... they're govt funded aren't they? so what happens if the government decides to stop funding them??

I know that they have a different approach to teaching and I think it will probably be great. Lots of benefits for outdoor education.

have you searched Montessori to learn about their phylosophy.

I get different views from parents where I live so dont really want to comment because I dont have personal experience.

I wouldnt expect the govt would stop funding.
