Dorset. Buckland Newton or Manor Park?

We are very lucky to be relocating to the Dorchester area in May and are currently looking at schools for our DD's.

Any information or feelings on either of these?

TIA.

No idea but I'm envious of you moving to Hardy Country.

I know, we love it a bit more each time we visit. :)

Do you know where you are going to live?

We are still looking at the moment, but do really like some of the villages.

Are you from the area originally?

Ooo! Come to Puddletown, it's lovely! My DD1 has just started in the first school so no help as to middle schools here I'm afraid, although I hear St Mary's middle is nice. Friends' DCs seem happy there. That intakes from quite a few local villages.

Just make sure you're middle school filters up to Thomas Hardy. One of the top ten state schools in the country, (according to ofsted anyway!)

Let me know if you need any advice.

medoit, Puddletown is lovely, there are so many great sounding places around aren't there?

Manor Park does go to Thomas Hardye after the middle school, but Buckland Newton would go to The Gryphon, in Sherbourne, I think?

Luckily both DD's are coming round to the idea of moving now, and actually cried as we left on Saturday! Worryingly DD1 has fallen in love with The Gaggle of Geese, and is fairly keen to live as close as possible to it, I think it's the dogs she likes!

Yes Gaggle of Geese is lovely. Puddletown's Blue Vinny is great too. (Great food!) Pup dog Dooley! My two love him!

If you're after good pubs, Piddlehinton and Piddletrenthide have their share, Yes; great names!!
