.. but I am surprised by how many posters' children are being taught by people who are not well educated, and by the idea that primary teachers have low academic qualificatins. I have a "good" degree, (2:1 from a "red brick" university), In English Lit, and an MA, and teach primary. I am surprised by the threads criticising teachers' spelling and grammar, as this has not been my experience.

And the fact that I cannot spell "qualifications", apparently....

Ha! Grin Nobody's perfect...

My sister is a teacher and has appalling spelling. She is also a graduate in English, and is the most wonderful inspiring teacher you can imagine.

Ah, but I also have a RSA Typing level 2 qualification, so that makes me perfect!

I'm dismayed by how many children have parents who don't appreciate what they have and how wonderful the individuality of each child is.
How they dislike spending time with them, yet attempt to live vicariously by forcing their children to comply with unreasonable requirements and expectations.
How many parents have poor nurturing skills.
That's before we get into the really abusive areas.
Guess we'll all just have to rub along together somehow. And not lose sleep over it.
