Private schools in Bromley

Could anyone in the Bromley area point me towards private primary schools that they would recommend?

DS has only just turned 3, but I woudl like to feel that I am doing something towards choosing a school for him. We haven't ruled out the local state primary schools, but I would like to make a proper comparison between them and private schools that aren't too far away.

We live in Sundridge Park, by the way.

Ds1 went to bickley parka for a while 10 years ago. It was very good back then.

Libby, Scotts Park is the closest primary school to our house. I would love not to have to pay for primary education, but I would like to know the local options for good private schools too.

Pag, I have just received the prospectus for Bickley Park and it looks great. Obviously we will have to have a look round the schools too. I shall look into Parva as I have never heard of it! Cheers.

My friends have their son at St Christophers between Bromley and Beckenham. They think it is fantastic, also seems relatively well priced for a private school. I think they had him in from nursery to ensure a plae for reception. www.stchristophersthehall.org.uk/

Thanks fapl. I drive past that school regularly - for some reason I thought it was a state Catholic school, so I'm glad you suggested it! Looks good. DS is already 3 - hadn't occurred to me that I may have already missed the boat for a reception place at a private school.

Some other threads say good things about Breaside or Bickley Park.

My son is at St Christopher's and I would recommend it - 18 to a class and 2 form entry. Can go direct into Kindergarten at 3 (but I believe there are waiting lists!) or they do take on a few more in reception which is done by assessment.

Good luck!
