DD had a breakthrough!

DD ( Age 8, in Y3 ) had a breakthrough last night.

She was trying to write 'it'. She wrote 't', crossed it out and then said - "It has to be 'i' first because the word is iiiiiii tttttttt.
If it started with a 't' it would be ttttt iiiiii."

Amazed, I said "Yes, well done. Who taught you that" and she said "No-one, I just figured it out myself because I'm brainy" Grin

She then went on to spell 'was', 'the' and 'of' correctly! Shock

In fact she wrote:
today tit was the lrst day of tirm

Absolutely incredible. I was gobsmacked.

Any chance she'll be able to spell this well tomorrow? GrinGrinGrin
