I am so useless at such things that I thought I would pick the collective brains of Mumsnet for ideas!

It needs to be fairly easy to do (as I am not creative at all) with stuff that is easy to find/buy.

Any ideas would be much appreciated - and I will give you a Wine for your troubles Smile

Red.

Panzee · 15/02/2011 20:41

Or whatever colour you wish.

dress as an adjective???? that's so... random!

still i guess it makes a change from "dress as your favourite character" lol

Hulababy · 15/02/2011 20:43

Any colour

Pretty, frilly, fancy, posh - princess dress

Scary, terrifying - monster, ghost

Cruel, mean, evil, bad - pirate, witch

meditrina · 15/02/2011 20:43

Do you have any portable musical instruments? Then they can be loud.

Teladi · 15/02/2011 20:44

'Wild' - mad hairdo and outfit?

EightiesChick · 15/02/2011 20:45

Fluffy. Use a costume, or put them in a very fluffy woolly jumper (and scarf, and hat...)

LauraSmurf · 15/02/2011 20:48

sticky
spikey
spotty
stripey
fluffy
starry

LauraSmurf · 15/02/2011 20:49

Spotty would be my choice!

'Little Miss Matched' - do a great variety of stuff, like spotted tights etc.

But i'm obsessed with spots!

kalo12 · 15/02/2011 20:50

mischievous - cat in the hat
spooky - harry potter
fierce - lion
shiny
sparkling
ridiculous

medoitmama · 15/02/2011 20:50

Stripey, spotty, big/small (depending on child), smelly??!

kalo12 · 15/02/2011 20:54

spikey
frilly
french
spanish etc

whomovedmychocolate · 15/02/2011 20:55

How about 'scholarly' then your DC can just go in their uniforms Grin

Honeydragon · 15/02/2011 20:55

bastard fucking schools, I haven't even got to book day yet on account of being stuck here making a cocking BEEFEATER costume. Seriously? WTF possess a school to expect a parent to come up with that???????

what about boring? dressed all in grey?

sarahfreck · 15/02/2011 20:56

Naughty/horrid? Could dress as Horrid Henry?
Beautiful - easy for girl in princess/pretty dress.
cheeky - go as themselves?
lazy - hmm maybe not!

DreamTeamGirl · 15/02/2011 21:09

I would LOVE to do MESSY on my DS

Bastard Beefeaters tho. That blows.

Honeydragon · 15/02/2011 21:11

I've got the ruff, and hat to go and will take up the sleeves tomorrow if dd has a nap.

I've had enough for tonight!

ceebeegeebies · 15/02/2011 21:17

Thanks for all the suggestions...I guess it is going to be fairly easy after all (and I may be able to recycle the halloween costume Wink)

Wine for you all and an extra one Wine for Honeydragon for having to do a beefeater costume Grin

melpomene · 15/02/2011 21:22

Lazy - pyjamas

ceebeegeebies · 15/02/2011 21:40

OMG melpomene I was literally coming back onto the thread to say that I think I am going to send him in his PJ's and slippers and be 'sleepy'....great minds and all that Grin

I would dress as idiosyncratic, myself! Or impoverished and send him in in rags. Or rebellious / non-conformist, and send him in in his school uniform as he refuses to dress up.

LauraSmurf · 15/02/2011 22:29

Oh any of e seven dwarves would be perfect! All adjectives (except Doc)
