Plan to go to France this summer and dd's are doing a bit of French at school. We have the Muzzy DVD's biut I'd like a fun website or other idea for getting them to speak more and enjoy it ready for our trip. ANyone know any good sites?

This one www.hello-world.com/French/games/children.php has some good bits - conversation, songs, games etc. Lots of it is free but some you have to be a member for.

Don't know how old chn are but Northumberland Grid for Learning has some stories available online eg Goldilocks

Videos and games:

Is this any help? Canadian but seems to have quite a bit, maybe not fun, fun..

This has some games but probably need to be able to read French. Think that only highlighted ones are fully accessible from home i.e. with sound. It's free after 4 pm

Looks like there's some stuff for secondary as well...

If I can think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Thanks for this. Dd's are Years 2 and 4, so we only need simple stuff for now. Wouldn't mind improving my French too though, the O-level was a long time ago!

Northumberland grid link is wrong, you'd probably work it out but here is, I hope, the right one.

Doh - can't do that link, I give up! Blush

Zut! French junior and senior.

yogabird · 16/02/2011 10:11

there's a gap in the world 'default' in the link. Hang on!

It's a really good site. Spent ages looking at the big black crow and the sly fox on there last night

Do have a look!
