HI. Need advice. Had ds1 sit london day school exams for 7+. He is able and bright with a great school reference. We did not tutor. He has gotten a place at our second choice but is on the reserve list for our first choice. Deposits are due next week. So maybe places will be freed up?? Anyone have any insight/experience

Phone your 1st choice or get your current head to do it and say you are very keen. You are sitting on a place at your 2nd choice school that someone else is probably desperate for. Chances are, someone else is doing that at your 1st choice.

Thanks. We have done that today and fingers crossed. We have "endured" this waiting etc with an 11+ child. This is the first time with a 7+. They said they only accept the exact amount of children and then use the waitlist. 11+ usually overaccept AND have a reserve list. Anyway...any thought or insight is greatly appreciated. I hate waiting. And yes....we will phone to give up the spot asap at 2nd school. I am sure people are waiting!!
