My ds did a show and tell and brought in his adored teddy bear yesterday. He forgot to bring it home from school and was bravely preparing to go to bed without it. Suddenly the doorbell rang in the early evening. It was his teacher bringing it back for him. He was thrilled. We don't live nearby. Just a thank you really to her and all the other teachers who go the extra mile. Smile

That is fantastic! Your son is very lucky to have a teacher like that, I'd say.

Sorry to hijack this thread. This week I had another example of thoughtfulness from a teacher. My daughter's headteacher (in a small school in Spain) got the girls in the top two classes together (age 11/12)to say that if any of them started their period while they were at school not to worry as she had bought a special pack of towels, wipes etc and put them in a nice box for them. They just had to come to her or one of the other female teachers . I thought it was great for her to be so open and prepared.

How lovely to read a grateful post about a teacher doing something above and beyond.

And, my DDs fab TA gave DD her own copy of Harry Potter to read and keep.

We were all so impressed. So brilliant and so thoughtful,
