Can you please suggest some games that I can play with a small group of KS2 children who need to develop basic maths skills (things like counting on, more than, less than) I'm being brain dead and all I can think of is snakes and ladders. I want it to be fun, so they can get used to being more comfy with numbers.

Thanks :)

Bingo. Can be adapted to any area of maths, times tables, addition , subtraction, number bonds.
Children choose their own numbers and put 5 on white boards. Then you as different questions.

Junior monopoly is good, but quite long.

Shut the box is great for quick addition recall and splitting numbers.

Rummikubs was always a family favourite. Need to get hooked on it!

Card games?

Top trumps is good for comparing numbers
