Christmas Play to go or not to go

HI
DS have a nasty cold and is off school today. He is playing with Calpol but wants cuddles when it wears of. I have it to and feel just the same. It's his Christmas play tomorrow and is really wanting to go( he missed last year as he was in hospital with his asthma) Would you let him go to school just for the play and then bring him home again afterwards? I could give him Calpol before but if he stayed all day he wouldnt be able to have any at lunch if he needed it.

Poor thing, if I were you I would dose him up and take him for the play - it is a big event in their calendar and would be a shame if he had to miss it.

Our head sent a nice letter saying if they've a cold and are off school then feel free to bring them in just for play if they're up to it, but not if they've got a sickness bug!

yes, all 3 mine have only been able to go thanks to calpol and nurofen....

Calpol.
Play.
Home.

Why wouldn't he be able to have lunch if he stayed at school all day?

cedmonds · 14/12/2010 21:29

I ment he wouldn't be able to have calpol not lunch. He is really hot at the moment so i think he will be staying at home. Poor baby why do they have to get ill around Christmas. Hopefully he will be ok for the party on Thrusday.

ps our head thinks they should be at school with colds etc. Only not at school with tummy bugs, she phoned the day after ds came out of hospital with his asthma to find out why he was not at school. The poor baby had been on O2 for two nights as he was going blue.

I would not go if he has a temperature and still contagious. There could be babies. See, how it goes tomorrow. Poor kid (my DS did not go to school for two weeks because of flu; I did feel sorry for him).

Gave mine calpol & nuerofen and took him in for the play. So glad I did, he was brilliant and his dad actually made it to see him and brought him home afterwards
School totally agreed

PS Octavia there was no under 4s allowed this morning only at the afternoon one. I wouldn't even think about taking him if the could be babies there.
