Yah. My kids are so lucky

I just wanted to push some positive things out there.

My kids have just started school in England several weeks ago.

I hear a lot of negative talk about schools and teachers etc on the internet and of course I haven't seen years and years of my kids schooling to compare but what I have so far makes me feel very happy with my decision to return to the UK for my kids to be educated in England. Maybe I'm grateful because I have something to compare to. I may not have seen it in a different light had I not travelled overseas.

The teachers and assistants are 1st class and I'm truly grateful Xmas Smile

So pleased for you. What's with the Yah?

I have nothing to compare it to, but I think my ds' education here in Y1 in England is absolutely top notch. We had his school play today and it was an absolute delight. From what I can tell, the school really fosters a lovely sense of responsibility - we were sledging at the weekend and it just so happened that two year 6ers were there sledging too. They could not have been more helpful in terms of pushing our littles ones off down the slope, looking for lost gloves etc. Beautifully behaved and so careful to ensure their more boisterous games didn't get in our way - what more could you want?! As well as parents - of course - I think the school has done a great job.

I am happy too. The kids are lovely and the teachers we have had are amazing...we also had DDs school nativity yesterday and the work that the teacher had done to give every child a chance to shine was amazing. Beautiful. I also chose the UK over living abroad and it was also mostly because of the education here.
