Hi. Just needed some information on Croydon High School. My brother is looking at it for his 7 year daughter. But we are not really sure if its a very good school. How does it compare with say Caterham or Jags? Any tips would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

I know this thread is a couple of months old, but I was just googling CHS to see if there was anything new since I left and came across this. I recently just left CHS to go to university, so although my opinion won't count as a parental perspective I can certainly vouch for what it's like to be a student there in recent years. I was at CHS for eleven years, and I can't imagine having gone anywhere else. I also got into old palace but chose croydon high as it seemed so much more suited to me.

Recently the school has improved beyond any expectation I had, due in large part to the new headmistress, which was a change that everyone, students and teachers welcomed. In my honest although somewhat biased opinion Croydon High is the best school in the area to which you could send your child. Having had friends at old palace, caterham and wally girls I can tell you the level of their pastoral care is second to none, and never once did I feel like just another face in the crowd. The school genuinely cares about how well you do, not just because of their own interests in the league tables but because almost all of the teachers highly care about their students.

I hope you choose a school soon :)
