Hi, I'm seriously considering moving my DS from his current primary school where he's in Y1 to a private school. This is because I'm not happy that he's getting the support he needs and he just seems totally overwhelmed in a class of 30. The thing is, now I've arranged for him to have an assessment morning at another school and I'm not sure what the best way is to bring this up with him. I don't want to upset him, but I have to tell him before he goes to this assessment. I'm in a quandry - has anyone got any advice?

And I meant to add that he's being bullied at his school and his teacher seems to think that my ds is making it up and won't do anything about it. Am so frustrated. So I just want him to have a better chance. It's going to be a real financial struggle to pay for him to go private and can only afford it because my parents are helping me with the fees. But I just don't know how to bring this up with my DS because I think he'll be quite freaked out at the idea of changing schools, even though he's not been especially happy there. So please anyone, how can I make this as painless as possible :(
