We are planning to send our dd to a private school and are in the process of looking around for a suitable school. Has any-one had a good experience with a school about 5 miles radius from Luton. We have to live in the area atm due to dh job but plan to move either st.albans or down to Hampshire later on if need a wider choice of schools .

St Albans High School for Girls in Wheathampstead for primary and St Albans for senior school. Aldwickbury in Harpenden (boys).

St Albans High has a junior bit - Wheathampstead House I think. Totally separate to the main school in St Albanshere.

Beechwood Park has lovely grounds.

Ah. Got you, thanks. I didn't know that. Lots to look into, thank you. The Harpenden state schools are good I think. Do you know What Harpenden prep is like?

Have a look at state primary schools in Leighton Buzzard - some are 'outstanding' in Ofsted

Thank you for the link FessaEst. I really like the look of Wheathampsted Park. Thanks for your help. Not 100% sure about an all girls school but will look into it. Smile
