What does 1B mean? Assessment!

We had a parents meeting yesterday, and our child was basically given IB in most areas. She is year 1. I have no idea if this is good or average. I feel she is fairly bright, but I am not sure whether her teacher feels this way.

That's pretty good.
1B represents the assessment level of the average child at the end of year 1, so your DD is doing well.

Ah great to hear. She loves school and learning so I am not too surprised! It's so funny how each child is different - my son has no interest (yet, I keep hoping it will change!)
