Jan 2011 Reception starters - want to compare notes?

For those of us whose little darlings start reception in Jan 2011 either coz we wanted to defer a term or coz school wouldn't take them till then.

Hows it going? Have you got school taster sessions lined up. Have you / your DC managed to keep up any friendships with preschool friends who started reception in September.

Bump. can't believe I'm the only one here with a Jan 2011 starter.

Are your DCs excited or apprehensive?

my ds has his trial session tomorrow! he'll be going with his other friends from the nursery (in the next door classroom) so should be fine. He hasn't kept friendships with the children that started in September but probably not forgotten them

DS has a try out morning on friday. Hes verrrrrry excited about it all. We live in a small village and his 2 best buddies live in walking distance but went to school in sept. Thankfully they have stayed friends at ballet, Sunday school and the park.
I think its 6 of them from village hall preschool start in in Jan pus a few extras.
