I currently live in didsbury and i am looking to move to altricham in the next few years. The reason for this is I want my child to go to a good primary school with outstanding ofsted report and in the future if he could get into Altrincham grammar school. I know he will have to sit a test but living in the catchment area will be a bonus. As in their admission policy it states if two boys get the same score the place will be allocated to the boy residing nearer to the school. Is there anyone who lives near the altrincham/ hale area? What areas are good? what are the areas to avoid?
I am looking in the meadow lane/ grove lane area where there is a one good primary school. Does anyone know of any others?
