i am a mum residing in dubai and my husband has been posted to southampton and we will have to move in april 2011. as we are new to the system i am finding it very hard to understand how to register my son(he is 4 and a half and is in reception) in the schools.i dont understand what is the difference b/w church aided and state schools? also do the church schools have religious influence on the children studying there?
my husbands colleague is moving this year and they got their children into school's before they had an actual address which was quite surprising as everywhere i have read they are saying we have to have an actual address and than only will can we register in schools.
i have ben reading many threads and have found them very useful and helpful. can someone please be kind enough to help me out.
