Role of a PTA Class Rep

Hello there, this is my first posting, so please be kind to me.

I am writing 'job specs' for the PTA roles and the one I am most stuck on is Class Rep.
If you are a class rep could you please tell me what you do, or what you think you should do.

Thank you.

Organise a parents class contact list.
Organise Christmas and end of year present from class parents and children (card plus collection).
Try to organise 1 social event for parents per term.
Act as class focal point for any wholeschool PTA events eg Christmas fair and help set up rotas for stall etc.

But I always feel 2 class reps is better than 1.

Oh and the main point: do not act as focal point for parents issues with the school management!
