testing in school to see if DS needs extra help

The Head called me in this morning to tell me that they are testing DS2 at the moment to see if he needs extra help in school. There are 5 or 6 children being tested, some to see whether they need extra support as they are struggling and others to see if they need extra support as they are working ahead of their peers.

All I know about the test is that it was done on a computer.

Does anyone know what it might be? He did explain briefly but I didn't really understand what it was TBH.

If it was on the computer it might be a Dyslexia screener called Lucid Rapid. It tests things like memory, spelling. Is he in Infants or Juniors?

He is in Year 2, but there were children from Years 1,2,3 and 4 all being tested.

It is apparently because his reading age is far higher than his actual age. I asked him about it and he said that there was a teddy in it and something called Void(?)
