Where about in Coulsdon?

I have friends very happy with Woodcote, both the primary and secondary.

up the hill, near the green

Most of the primaries are pretty good - Chipstead Valley, Smitham, Woodcote the C of E in Old Coulsdon, can't remember what it is called.

With secondaries there are only two choices really, unless you want to try the grammar school route (Wallington/Wilsons) - Woodcote High and Oasis Academy. Woodcote has a good reputation but it is becoming harder to get in - it was very oversubscribed this year (1000 applicants for 220 places) and a friend of mine living 1.2 miles away did not get her child in.

The Oasis Academy was a failing high school with a bad reputation and £20 million pound is being spent on a new building and attempts at turning it round. I've heard encouraging things about it so might be grea by the time your boys are that age.

When you say up the hill by the green do you mean old coulsdon or the chipstead side of the Brighton road?

wow 20 million! thats a lot of investment! good to hear there are good primaries. Thought the grammers were in LB sutton, good to know you get in if you are in LB croydon.

Up the hill, old coulsdon I think. Im still researching and getting to know the area.

Really helpful information. Thanks.

We have lived here for about 11 years and love it. Any more questions, ask away.

The grammar schools are in Sutton but you can get in from Croydon.
