DS has brought home a picture book - what do I do with it?

In his book bag is a book with no words - how do I 'use' it? Let him tell me the story, me tell him the story? Point out objects? Ask him questions about each page? Thanks :)

My DS brings these home you do all the things you said and generally let them make up stories relevent to the pictures.

you're getting them used to the narrative really

next there will be books with three words to page, and most of the story will be in the picture still

and then the emphasis changes so over time more and more words appear
