Any recommendations for maths websites?

Ds1 is in Yr1. I'd like to spend a few minutes a day with him helping him with his reading and maths. The reading is ok as he chooses books from the library and I thought playing maths 'games' on a website may be fun for him as well as educational.
Anyone use any?

We used Education City for a year and my child learnt a lot from this. It covers Maths, English, Science and French, German Spanish.

Whilst it doesnt cover the whole curriculum its a great site

We are now using Maths Whizz which, so far, is fantastic. The teaching methods are really clear, and they explain the rules before the games, whereas most games assume you know how to do the sums.

Both cost money.

However, there are thousands of free maths games on line and also many schools have free links.

Another great site is Zoodles.com which finds games that are age appropriate and sets up its own browser so kids only go to games that they recommend. There is a fee option but the free site works just fine.

I agree, this is also a great site for explaining stuff, and free!

I used ICT games with Y2, and they loved it.
Mathszone is also very good.

"Tutpup" is cool - ds's teacher recommended it :)
