We are finishing the end of our trial week and my DC are really enjoying this site. For those that have access via their school, do you get access to the whole site? Apparently some of the schools in our area have signed up to it (not sure if ours is one). I wondered if taking out a personal subscription is advantageous over a school subscription? Any thoughts appreciated.

I just posted a video review of the maths content of Education City.

I think it is best used in conjunction with the work your child is doing at school, as it doesn't really "teach" the children but is good for extra practice.

Maybe ask your child's school if they are planning to sign up (and also if they recommend it!)

I dont know what the school system offers so I cant compare, other than school can assign homework. Do you get all six areas that the home package offers? (maths, literacy, science and 3 languages).

Is there much cost difference?

Who assigns the levels? You or the school?

We use the home edition and have found it invaluable. Our child has learnt a lot of stuff that hasnt yet been covered at school and it has been well worth the money.

I particularly like the fact that you can get reports on everything and this has been great for being able to focus on weaker areas.

I would recommend you are sure about the levels you want to start with. The trial is good for this.

In all levels, you will find very easy questions to very hard questions.
